Independent Medical Review Organizations

Once the Department determines that a case is eligible for IMR, the case is referred to a state-contracted review organization that has met statutory conflict of interest and quality assurance criteria. The organization has a large panel of accredited reviewers representing the recognized medical specialties, as well as non-physicians.
